Max Riedel to lead tasting in Charlotte; first time in 10+ years

Max Riedel partnering with Uncorked Wine Consulting for Riedel Glass Tasting.

Charlotte, November 29, 2010: Uncorked Wine Consulting (UWC) announces a partnership with Maximilian “Max” Riedel, CEO of Riedel Crystal of America, that will bring the 11th generation Glassware Pioneer to Charlotte, North Carolina for a signature glass tasting. Max is the designer of the globally successful “O” line and two of the best selling decanter designs. Max will lead guests through a four-wine glass tasting with the Riedel Vinum XL Series.

“Charlotte needs a Wine Event that will ‘wow,’ said Courtney Ellis, founder of UWC, “this event is long overdue and I am thrilled to have this opportunity!” Speaking of the opportunity, Ellis said that she was “honored” to have been chosen by Norma Stewart of Ben Tally & Associates. “An event opportunity like this only presents itself every few years, so to have been given the opportunity to host it is a great pleasure!” Uncorked Wine Consulting, established in 2008, has recently had a major market share gain in both the Charlotte and national scene with the recent launch of their online retail shop, www.ShopUncorked.com.

The cost of the tasting is $125 per person and will be hosted at Charlotte’s Uptown Marriott. Guests hosted by Uncorked and Max Riedel will receive a Riedel Vinum XL Series Tasting Kit (glasses to include: Sauvignon Blanc, White Burgundy, Red Burgundy and Red Bordeaux), hand-picked wine selections and reception with light hors d’oeuvres to follow. The event is slated for Friday, February 18, 2011 from 6:30-8:30pm and is limited to the first 130 respondents. Additional glassware and wines will be available at reduced prices to attendees.

Assisting Ellis with the event is Carrie Ann Drinnen with Serendipity Wedding & Events and Laura Egan, Marriott Charlotte. Carrie Ann will be transforming the Marriott Ballroom into a vision of Southern-Chic. The dynamic chemistry between these three women will surely prove to be the talk of Charlotte!
