Product Description

"The Terra Bella Vineyard has become a favorite of mine...hailing from the hilly reaches west of the 101 in Paso Robles...adjacent to Halter Ranch, Adelaida, and Tablas Creek...a truly great 'neighborhood.'  Syrah and Grenache is grown in several different blocks there...because we craft the Estate Wines for the Hopkins Family (vineyard owners) we get teh best possible fruit from this stunning, steep hillside vineyard.  The Syrah from this vineyard grows on steep, limestone-rich hillsides and arrives at the winery very ripe yet balanced, yielding " - Winery Notes

Andrew Murray "Terra Bella Vineyard" Syrah 2007 Reviews

"The outstanding 2007 Syrah Terra Bella Vineyard exhibits blackberry, pepper, and meat juices with some licorice and earth.  Some cassis also makes an appearance in this full-bodied wine, which is pure, lush, round and generous, but seems to be trying to hide some tannins in the structured finish.  It is approachable now, but should age nicely for another 7-8 years." - 91, Wine Advocate

Andrew Murray "Terra Bella Vineyard" Syrah 2007 Tasting Notes

"This Syrah has a deeply colored wine (darkest in the cellar) with distinctive aromas and flavors of blueberries and raspberries. We aged the wine in mostly new French Oak, so there is a nice layer of vanilla, clove, and toasty notes as well. This is a very full bodied wine that will benefit from more ageing in the bottle." - Winemaker Notes
