Product Description

Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio is located in the pastoral setting of Umbria, between Florence and Rome. Gently rolling hills and a sunny, mild climate create the ideal setting for both vineyards and olive groves. Owner Lorenzo Fasola-Bologna has overhauled both his vineyards and his winery to produce complex and seductive wines. Lorenzo’s family has produced and bottled wine on his family’s estate for countless generations. After making a substantial investment in technology, expert consultants, and varietals, Lorenzo is taking winemaking, as well as his estate olive oil production, to a new level. He won’t stop until his Castello Monte Vibiano wines are a household name.

Castello Monte Vibiano Rosso 2006 Reviews

"A no-fuss Sangiovese blend.....red fruits, spice, cola, and balsam, with notes of dried flowers." - 86, Wine Enthusiast

Castello Monte Vibiano Rosso 2006 Tasting Notes

Produced with grapes from our youngest vineyards, this wine, that oaked, has a ruby red color and light intensity. It offers evident scents of strawberry and Mediterranean spices.  Young. Fresh. Extremely fruity. Ready to drink. Made with the youngest grapes. Bottled five months after harvest. Enjoy as your everyday red table wine.

Blend: Sangiovese 80%, other red berried vine varieties 20%.
