"The grapes for this wine were sourced from adjacent vineyards in the Waihopai Valley. The Barnsley vineyard produces amazing Pinot Gris for us, and makes up 50% of this blend. The quality of this fruit lead us to top graft some vines over to Pinot Gris in the adjacent Lawson's owned vineyard, it is this fruit that makes up the balance of the blend. A rigorous program of shoot thinning, leaf plucking and early crop removal allowed excellent ripening of a small intensely flavoured crop, with a wonderful array of typical Pinot Gris flavours." - Winery Notes
