"We selected this blend of Chardonnay, Marsanne, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Malvasia Bianca, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier from several of California’s outstanding vineyard regions. Each varietal excels in specific conditions so we chose vineyards with the ideal terroir (combination
of soil, mesoclimate and exposure), the one that yields the most complex, balanced flavors. We chose Chardonnay—a grape that loves cool climates—for more than half of the blend to give vibrant green apple, citrus and stone fruit character. Marsanne, Pinot Gris and Riesling add
more fruit flavors and enticing spice, while splashes of Malvasia Bianca, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier perfume with floral and herbal notes.

The 2008 growing season presented challenges that we won’t soon forget—drought, record spring frosts, hail and hot winds—yet the 2008 Jade Mountain White Blend proves that the vintage created many spectacular wines. Mother Nature’s mood turned benevolent just in time
for the grapes to ripen under mild conditions. Although the vintage gave our vineyard team gray hair, it gave our winemakers small, perfectly ripened grapes with intense, delicious flavors and balanced acidity to make great wines." - Winery Notes
